Jacquemus

This Spring-Summer Simone Porte Jacquemus throws out the over- daring French woman ideologies and soaks up the sun from the south of France and dressing his models in deep plunge dresses and tops as well as side knotted wrap dresses -- which cling onto the skin waists of his models.

The collection is said to be inspired by his mother who was the contradicting definition of shy and sexy.

Not often, are those two words put together but these words reflect his spring/summer 2018 collection.

From the larger than life, tropical sun/beach hats, when looked at from any angle, the floppy rims create a romantic ensemble -- think Audrey Hepburn with an over dose of 'sex-on-the beach' [pun intended].

WHY  Jacquemus?

THE MODELS

Question is, why not!?

Apart from flooding our Instagram's with more than enviable images of the beach, tanned models and tropical vibes [which by the way, is what we need in London right now], Jacquemus seems to be one of the few designers at Paris fashion week who did not throw in the novelty black model.

I think it is safe to say that once there are one or two black models that grace the catwalk with their presence, the fashion industry can tick off

Amilna Estevaro adorned the catwalk with her rich melanin pigmented skin, short coily mini afro, full lips and gracious stride.

While Nikita M'Bouroukounda gave us a mix of salted white chocolate dipped in caramel.

With a striking face, her corn rose allowed the audience to see what a gracious long neck she has.

If these stunning models did not take your breath away, what would?

DIVERSITY.
