AFÉ is an online magazine inspired by the African creative industry, focusing predominantly on the fashion sector.

With a lot of media focusing on the very 'stereotypical' culture of Africans, I have decided there needs to be a space in the market for creatives, such as myself to have access and find out what a rich and modern culture Africans have.

As Naomi Campbell stated - "There needs to be an African Vogue. It's time." I couldn't have said it any better.

AFÉ, Ibo, Ogwashi-ukwu, Nigerian means, clothes, what you wear. I have taken this word to symbolise style, be it in art, fashion, food and architecture.

Style is a characteristic in the everyday life.

In preparation for the launch of AFÉ, I have taken time to reach out to the various creatives of African descent, to discuss their culture, inspirations and how it is shaping the creative industry for Africa and black people in general.

Keep in mind, this is not an African magazine, it is one that is inspired by the continent and its people, wherever they may be.

Hope you enjoy our journey.
